Vinay Viswanathan (born June 27, 1994 in Ann Arbor, Michigan) is journalist, scientist, orator, philanthropist, ultimate frisbee player, creme brulee enthusiast, and tambourinist.  Born in Michigan, Viswanathan used to live in Atlanta and enjoyed some of his finest years in the South.  He attends Upper St. High School in Pittsburgh, PA, and will graduate in 2012. He is the Opinions Editor of the St. Clairion, a mythomaniac, and a mediocre guitarist.  He is a member of the Upper St. Clair Ultimate Frisbee team and the USC Forensics Team.  He dreams of attending an institution of the likes of Georgetown, NYU, or Vanderbilt some day and in the meanwhile enjoys playing ultimate frisbee.  While he listens to many areas of music, he is particularly enthused by indie rock artist Sufjan Stevens, the band Phoenix, rapper Kanye West, and the rap group Das Racist.  He loves Opinions and hopes that you, in particular, will write a guest article for it.  He hopes you enjoy The St. Clairion and read it more often.  He is a social liberal and a fiscal conservative and thinks that Obama is “all right.”  He is a supporter of the Pitt Panthers, Michigan Wolverines, Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets, and, of course, the USC Panthers.
